Jamie Tesch - Pas de Deux Studio Lincol, Nebraska Jamie Tesch- co-owner

Jamie Tesch was a student of Karen McWilliams for 15 years, an assistant for 3 years, and has been teaching since she graduated from high school in 2001.  Jamie was a member of the Lincoln Midwest Ballet Company in 1997 and 1998. She was also a member of the Lincoln Southeast Shirette dance team 1999-2001 becoming captain and an All-Star dancer with the Universal Dance Association in 2000-2001.  She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in Family Science and Education. She has performed with the Lincoln Midwest Ballet Company’s “The Nutcracker” for 13 years and was a rehearsal assistant for 3 years. Jamie is married to Philip who is a Retail Sales Associate with Frito Lay. They are new (and very proud) parents to Isabelle who was born in December 2011 and a handsome son, Jaxson who was born in the fall of 2013.   Jamie is continuing to fulfill her dreams of being a dance teacher thanks to Karen, and furthers her experience and knowledge through Karen, workshops and personal experience.  It is a passion of Jamie’s to share her love of dance with others and is grateful that she is able to do so.

Tricia Aldag Pas de Deux Studio Lincoln, NETricia Aldag- co-owner

Tricia Aldag started dance lessons with Karen McWilliams when she was 5 years old.  While Karen McWilliams School of Dance was always her primary studio, she also studied with the Lincoln City Ballet Company, Lincoln Midwest Ballet Company, and Omaha Ballet Company.  Tricia was a member and captain of the Apollonaires dance team at Lincoln East.  She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she was the captain of the Scarlets Dance Team.  Upon graduation, she was hired on as the coach of the Scarlets.  Soon after, Tricia worked for the Dance Department at UNL where she taught dance courses.  She also traveled with NDA as a head instructor, teaching dance throughout the country, as well as judging and choreographing for many dance teams over the years. Tricia is married to Richard, who is an investigative sergeant with the  Nebraska State Patrol. He recently retired from the National Guard of which he served 2 deployments over 3 years in Iraq and Afghanistan.  They have four children; Hayden (16), Aubrey (14), Annalise (7) and Ren (1). Tricia has been teaching for Karen McWilliams School of Dance for over 20 years and is excited to take on this new chapter in her life with continuing the traditions, passion and love for dance.

LindseySLindsey Schmitz

Lindsey Schmitz began dancing with Karen McWilliams when she was three years old.  Lindsey danced with Karen for 22 years and was an assistant for three years.  She has been teaching at Karen McWilliams School of Dance since 2005.  Lindsey was a member of the Lincoln Southwest Emeralds Dance Team from 2002-2005 where she was Captain for both her junior and senior years.  She has taken classes from the University of Nebraksa-Lincoln and has attended workshops in many different styles of dance.  Lindsey graduated from UNL with her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2009 and with her Master of Arts in Elementary Education in 2012.  She has also served as the Millard South Dance Team Coach. Lindsey lives in Omaha with her husband, Jake, who is a civil engineer at HDR Engineering.  Lindsey and Jake are proud parents of Aiden, born in the fall of 2012 and their daughter, Ava in 2014.

Kayla Magnuson

Kayla Magnuson danced with Karen McWilliams for 15 years and assisted her for 2 years.  She has attended workshops in various styles including an inspiring workshop with Colin Dunne who has helped her to vastly improve her Irish technique. She is currently a senior at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she is studying for her bachelor of science in nursing.  Kayla teaches our very popular and growing Irish step classes.  Irish dancing, with both soft and hard shoe, continues to be a crowd favorite at our annual spring recital at the Lied Center.

Andrea Maack

Andrea Maack has been dancing at Karen McWilliams/Pas de Deux for over 20 years.  She was a former Lincoln High School dance team member from 2005-2008.  She received two All-Star awards at the Universal Dance Association (UDA) camp and competed nationally.  She has choreographed many pieces in various musical theater productions.  She has enjoyed being a student, assistant and teacher in the studio where she grew up.   Andrea continues to enjoy being both student and teacher at Pas de Deux.  She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts.  Andrea looks forward to sharing her love of dance with others through teaching and performing.


Sarah Donnelly

Sarah Donnelly began her training in Virginia.  She moved to Lincoln in 2010 and soon joined the Karen McWilliams School of Dance family.  Now Pas de Deux, the studio has allowed her to expand her interests in dance to study all styles offered, as well as assisting others.  She has enjoyed playing lead roles in their annual Lied Center productions, such as Simba in the Lion King in the spring of 2014.  Sarah also enjoys being a guest worship dancer at Lincoln Berean Church combining her passion for dance with her love for the Lord. Sarah attends the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where she is working toward a degree in graphic design as well as minoring in dance.  She continues to be both student and preschool teacher at Pas de Deux.  She looks forward to passing on her love and passion for dance to her studio family.
